Who has a one wire alternator, and what is your experience with it?
Installed the 140 amp one wire on my 82 today, and it finally has 14 volts at idle with the fan on. Seems to work. Want to be able to idle and run the fan in the staging lanes.
I already noted the self excite feature, about the third time I checked it, I forgot to rev it up. Otherwise it seems much better than the stock 1980 alt that I replaced.
