been arguing with some other gear heads on how much HP my new motor will actually have, so I'll leave this to all you pros out there....

stock 5.0 block bored .60 over
SRP pistons, i forget what the comp. ratio was supposed to be, using the charts it came out between 9.1 and 9.5
eagle forged crank thats been cut to clear the pistons.
Eagle H beam rods
trick flow stud girdle
melling hi-vol pump
canton road race oil pan.
SPEC aluminum flywheel
"Ebay special" chrome fluid damper (i forget the brand)
this was all setup for 28oz imballance rather than 50oz, hope that doesnt bring me any problems!

Trick flow twisted wedge heads
track heat intake
trick flow 1.6 rockers
30# injectors
aeromotive fuel rails
soon to be installed 65 or 70mm TB with 75mm pro-m maf
march serpentine kit (aluminum pulleys)
stock roller lifters with an E303 cam
MSD 8456 distributor (not yet purchased but will be on the motor)

think thats about all the details. what should this motor have at the crank? 700? 800 HP? i was hoping to get atleast 725HP

JOKING!!!!!

It really doesn't matter. With that 28oz balancer the engine will scrap metal in no time.

Why spend all that on that engine and then get cheapo with the E cam. I would suggest a custom cam or something out there that is better. I would say the TFS cams would be a great choice considering it is a TFS combo.

what do you mean the "engine will scrap metal in no time"? i was told it wouldnt matter really, the 28oz would give me more accleration. the whole rotating assembly has been balanced (obviously)

well the problem is, I live in the chicago burbs and we have to take our cars in once a year to have them checked for polution.... if it wont pass the emissions test than its pretty ****ing worthless to me.

i should have mentioned that i built this for the street, not the strip.
the E303 is what came out of the original engine that snapped a crank, you are the first person that has said it was a POS cam. i did think about buying a new TFS... but what gains would i really have gotten? i do have a crane timing chain, its not the best one with the 5 timing choices...this one only has 3, but the shop that did all the machine work degreed it for me.

Well I liked my E cam, I might go a little crazier next time but I didn't have anything to complain about with it. As for the balancer thats something that pretty important, not a good idea to go cheap on it. As for hp assuming the heads and intake are straight out of the box, IMO somewhere between 300-350 fwhp... it really depends on alot of things though.
