OOPS, my car wont get into my garage, its too low....

Yes, my car wont make it into my garage. I live on a hill and the car is lowered too much and its going to scrape like crazy. Anyone know approximately how much its going to cost to get it raised? I havent yet checked to see if I have adjustable springs or shocks.

Situations like this are only one of the reasons I won't lower or put LT headers on a street car.

I have no idea what it would cost. You no longer have the stock springs? Have you tought about possibly repairing the driveway/garage so it can get in?

Hello, yes I was thinking about putting some wood down and doing

all that shmuck to get into the garage every day. But I think I should get it raised anyways just a tad. its a bit low. So i just called the service dept and they werent too helpful. they told me to just bring it in and then theyll tell me how much itll cost. Thanks for the help

She stated it was lowered so I'm assuming she means the suspension is not stock. If she can't get in her garage with a Mustang at STOCK RIDE height then she needs to just trade it in on a 4X4!

yeah, i agree on the 4X4 statement...

ok.. i admit.. she confused by with "how much to get it raised"... instead of "how much to take out my lowering springs and put the stock ones back in?" LOL!

As far as cost.. do you still have the stock springs? Dealership will probably soak you for new ones... Dealership will probably charge you a couple hundred bucks for labor... I wouldn't be surprised if they tell you $400 to $500, if you need new stock springs...

I'm sorry, but none of this makes any sense to me. Is her car lowered or not? If so, why on earth would she do that knowing how her gararge is? If it is not lowered, then she has a big problem that nothing is going to help.

Perhaps she bought it used and the original owner lowered it...

Given the fact that she said "OOPS" in the title and said "is lowered too much" in the body of the orignal thread, I inferred that she lowered it on purpose (or bought it that way) and it was too low for her garage. That may not have been what she was trying to imply though.

ok let me clear the air,.....

I bought the car already lowered. i assumed it would get into my garage with no problem but apparently this turned out to be one of those dumb moves you just want to slap yourself for. I guess i got too excited when i saw the car. So if i wanted it to get into my garage it would obviously have to be raised.
