I have a question guys, I was wanting to these things put on my exhaust (I forgot what they were called) it kind of y-s off from you exhaust pipe from each side just after the collector. and you can unbolt a plate and it will make it open header. will this trigger the mil and make the car run bad, or could you just weld it up just after the front o2 sensors?

Why would you want to run with open headers? Less horsepower, less torque, and obnoxiously loud...

wont trigger a CEL, but you will stick a gun to your head and pull the trigger after you realize how loud and feel how slow it is....

I recommend that the first thing you do is pull off your H-pipe and then start up the engine. Preferably in the garage. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher handy in case you set the car on fire. Oh, and definitely a spare pair of undies.

I fired mine up with open longtube headers, and nearly crapped myself. I had no idea how much noise an uncorked engine makes . And when I drove it to the muffler shop that way to get the X-pipe fitted, I romped on it a few times... felt like I was down 50 horsepower, at least.
