Just to start some discussion sorta based on would you prefer NA or FI and why. I would like to know if u could choose between these two options which route would you go stateing some advantages and disadvantages of the other

Also isn't usually NA 400hp cars faster then 400hp Forced induction powered cars. The NA car usually has a broader range of power ? True or false i know it depends on setup be generally speaking?

i'm running a 351 in my 95. i always wondered how a superchargered 302 based engine would run. i think it could be a little more cost effective and provide a good amount of power potential.
but the thing about a 400 na vs a 400 s/c? i would think the n/a motor would be quicker cause there is more available power in the power band sooner?

Do a stroked 351...then run boost to it. If it's in your budget and you don't do it you'll regret it later. Long as you have the funds why skimp on the displacement and it's a stronger block to begin with anyway. A properly build 351 stroker would put out around the same or more power as the charged 302. And you can boost the 351+ later and have that much more. They get hella expensive though.

A properly built, stock stroke 351 should have no problems making 425 RWHP, be perfectly streetable, and emission-legal.

A properly built 408 (4.030 x 4) should make 500 with no problems.

Your stock block 302 can't make that much smoke....

not to hyjack this thread but 351w stroker kits are all priced the same for the 393ci 3.850" the 408ci 4.000" and the 419ci 4.100" why would someone chose the 408 or the 393 instead of the bigger 419? what is the main drawback since they are all priced the same

Good question. I can't think of anything off hand, but it may be that some racing classes have limits on cubic inches. I'm guessing it poses the same question why wouldn't someone choose a 347 over a 331, 327, 318, 310, 306 and so on. That's all I can think of, Marketing also may play a role. Maybe someone else could chime in with more reasons.

I'd just get a blower and be done with it. An engine swap would be too much of a hassle IMO, also I'd like to keep this as daily drivable friendly as possible.

a 302 to 351 swap isnt all that bad, you can get a 351 lower intake to use your 302 upper, if you have a gt40 or whatever, new headers, new oil pan. should cost around $1,000 for the swap. Im going to start a 4cyl to 351 swap now that should be some hair pulling excitement

luck, i need much more then luck, maybe a doctor i can talk to when i get crazy urges. but it gives me something to do and keeps me out of trouble and in debt thanks for wishing me luck though, im sure i will need it
