I bought my first 02Gt in late July and two week's in I had bad valve go on me, part of that TSB that Ford has for our car's. Anyway they fixed it under warrenty but I got it back with grease from bumper to bumper, inside too. I look over the whole car and they scratched my fender and my door. I told them and they fixed it. I thought it was over, wrong.

Two weeks later I looked at my car sitting in my in-laws NEW drive way and see oil dripping from the drivers side, roughly about a 1/4 of a quart. My father in-law was pissed, but understanding. I send it in they fix it, valve cover gasket was leaking and covered my new polished slp powerflow exhaust. now it's over right, wrong.

Later, my belt starts sqeaking due to the coolant that they spilled all over it from the first time it went in. I replaced it, mad but I get over it. In the middle of changing the belt I see that the car is leaking oil from the timing chain cover and I look at water pump pulley bolts and one is about to fall out

I decided to buy oil for my first oil change while I was buying my belt and I started changing the oil and my drain plug is stripped from when the did the oil change from replacing my head. I can't win.

I called the guy at the dealership and chewed him out and told him his tech sucks, he said please bring it in so I can get a look at it. I said no way your going to work on my car again and he asked me if I can get his manager to speak to me, so I said ok. so i'm waiting for that phone call. To many screw ups on my car. There are begging me to bring it in.

Should I let them look at it? The devil I know or the devil I don't???
They have screwed up so many times, If I let them look at it again what's next?

Sorry for the long post

I can understand your troubles. Cant say I have been in the same situation, however. Reading your story it seems like they are fixing what it appears they are messing up at no cost to you, which is good...some people have had dealers refuse to do the work for free. Some of these issues may also be coincidence too, you cant blame everything on the dealer, but they certainly dont appear to be perfect.

I'd just talk to the service manager and see what you can work out before you take it back. They may assign your vehicle to a different service writer, and therefore a new tech will get your car and you may have better luck.

Good reply about getting hit with crap I probaly deserve that but think about it from the side of if the tech didn't tighten a head bolt or cam bolt's or anything else. I don't want to have problem's down the road.
You all know how murphy's law works, if you find murphy let me know I have a surprise for him

Isnt there some kind of 3 strike lemon law deal where if you bring it in 3 times over for the same thing you can take them to court for some sort of compensation?

Can't you take it to a different dealership? I have had my share of 'unhappy' experiences with dealerships. It sounds like the one you are going to is poo. Take it back to have them fix it first but tell them that you want their best tech to do the work. Then depending on how that goes, keep taking it there or go somewhere else. IMO.

The scary part about it he told me there best tech worked on it.
If I take it somewhere else who would pay for the other dealers screw ups? do they back bill each other?

Not that I know of. That's why I said take it back but if their best tech is messing up numerous times then something is wack at that place. I would recommend going in and talking face to face with the Service Manager .. That will get things done and you can ask about taking it somewhere else ... etc.

Find another dealership, although it sounds like there isn't much more that could possibly go wrong with your car

When I used to work as a tech and a car that showed up spotless that was a big clue that person cared about there car and probaly is a car guy.
It seems that people not just in the car business but in most busineses have no pride in there work anymore.

This is the part that really stinks I have some new parts that i'm holding off from installing due to this, H pipe, Mach 1 rear end, accufab plenum/throttle body and programmer.

Jury is out????????

Wow that's horrible sounds like they sabotaged your car so,
you will come back and give that Ford Dealership service department
more business so,they could have a chance to soak you.
Sorry to hear that.Choice a different Ford Dealership service
department to give your business too.
