Opinions on E-10 Ethanol/Gasoline mix...

All,

I am being told that E-10 gasoline can make up to 5-8% horsepower difference to the low side. After looking throughout a bunch of different internet articles, of course, the oil companies claim it gives you a higher horsepower. A lot of boating articles say that it is 3-5% less horsepower and less efficient, but cleaner burning. Just wanted to find out from the tuners what their opinions were.

I know it's safe for the car unless you are putting the car into storage. I'm more concerned with the HP loss. May have something to do with what I am seeing in my car.
