I was wondering if anyone had opinion on which brand of subs I should get for 2000 stang I have after market speakers an a new head unit. I dont want to much base I was thinking about getting a 10 inch JL sub an opinions.
JL's are good, but pricey. It's not about the speaker always, you have to look at the type of enclosure also. FYI your best bet, post this in the Sound and Shine forum section. You'll get a lot more hits there... and a lot more advice.
i have rockford p2s in my 88 mustang and my buddy has alpine type rs in his 94 mustang we have done some testing between are amps and subs and the alpine hit sooo much harder but the rockfords sound better with the right amp... i have tried and sold almost every kind of subs and wouldnt buy anything but alpine or rockford
jl audio is defiantly one of the top 3 subs out there you can over power 2 12" type r's with 1 10" w7 best quality out there may not be the laudest but defiantly the best sound and clarity. if your not looking to spend 400-600 on your system dont go with the w7 tho. the w3 are also very nice they dont boom as hard but give enough for most people and cost around 250
