I just got a Vortech SQ trim. I was wondering why you dont here very much about the vortech aftercooler. It doesnt seem like hardly anybody runs it. Is there a reason why? Is it not as good as an intercooler?

I have a chance to pick up a vortech aftercooler for about the same price as a snow performance methanol kit and was wondering which would be better. I know that you have to relocate the battery to the trunk, i wonder if thats a pain in the ass to do.

an air to air intercooler is better because you don't need a cold liquid to cool the air. once the aftercooler heats up, it doesn't provide much cooling.

So for a daily driver, wouldnt that be really bad? I mean if you get tuned when the aftercooler is in optimal cooling mode, but then as a daily driver, if it gets heat soaked and you run it hard, wouldnt there be a chance of detonating and blowing something?

Mine does just fine. I havent ever had ANY detonation. I have been running the SQ with after cooler since jan. Are you installing it yourself?
