I installed a Bamachips race file tonight on my 2007 stang using an SCT handheld. But I couldn't figure out how to return to the original stock file. I think I forgot to save the stock file before installing this. I previsously had stored a stock file on my Superchips tuner and thought I could return to the original stock file by retuning with my Superchips handheld. But when I plugged the Superchips handheld in, it appears that it wants to read the new Bamachips Race file as the new stock file. What do I do, other than going back to the dealership having them reset it?

Prior to installing you're Bamachip's tune ! was the Stock tune still in you're Stang's computer ? if so..the SCT programmer automatically saves the factory tuning files, before uploading the Bamachips program files..Therefore ! you can always re-flash back to stock at anytime..However, if you didn't re-flash back to stock before uploading the new Bamachip's tunes ? you'll have to take you're stang back to the dealership, and have them flash a new stock tune..

Yes, I had a Superchips 91 octane tune in but did returned it back to stock with the Superchips handheld before loading the Bamachips Race tune. However, I can't figure out how to return it to stock. On the Superchips programmer, it had programming options of Performance, 87 Octane and Stock. All I see on the Bamachips SCT tuner is three tunes I requested from Doug: 91 Peformance, 91 Torque and 91 Race. I don't see a "stock" programming option so I don't know how to return it back to stock.

On the SCT programmer.. you're required to press the select button, in order to begin the programming process..Then under Program option/install tune ! press the down arrow button, and you'll then be prompted to select, the return to stock option..Once again ! press the select button, and the programmer will begin returning the vehicle back to stock..

Thanks!

For some reason, I guess from my experience with Superchips programmers, I did not think to scroll down. The stock filed was there.
