Whats the difference between the red top and blue top batteries? I know the blue ones are Marine batteries, but if used on the street how will it be different than a red top? What are the yellow tops?

WHile on topic, does anyone know of any gel batteries that are off brand and cheaper than Optimas? I would like that style of battery but aint about to pay over 100 bucks for an Optima......

Rockford Fosgate made a gel battery, I dunno if they still offer it. You might be able to find one by Orbital at a parts store. However, I haven't seen any cheaper then $100.

Maybe it was Odessy Batteries, they are sealed Gel but arent funky shaped and hard to get to stay in place.

They have a red top for $104 right now and a blue for about the same. The reason I asked about the blue is because it is a group 34/78 and the red is a group 75/35 which is taller. I'd rather have the 34/78 size.
