Optima battery?

Has anybody installed a #34 Optima Red top in a late model Mustang? I'd like to install one in my 2000 GT but am worried about it fitting or hood closing. What did you do about hold down? Help a brother out!+

im using the 34/78 yellow top and have no issues with hood clearance, and for the hold down i used the group 65 adapters that optima has and the stock hold down and its nice and secure.

I have a 2000 gt and I use the red top no problem. I used the factory battery tentioner with a strap on the back side

red top in an 00 GT here. no problems clearing the hood, used a plastic strap to hold it down. not the prettiest install but that's on my 'things to do' list for next week.
