Looking on-line at the Ford configurator; is it true that the V6 does not come with heated leather seats, nor coolio's (cooled seats).
I do see remote start as an option...

I have to have at least 5 options in my next vehicle:
V6
Remote start
Coolio (cooled seats)
Warm Butt (heated seats)
Slippery Butt (leather seats)

Does ford really reserve these options for the I4 Turbo and GT only?

Yeah, premium package usually gives the leather seats and what not, and I don't see a V6 premium.

The V6 is mostly designed for rental fleets. You can add aftermarket heated and cooled seats.

all previous years of V6 had options available, Pony Package and such. Pretty disappointed in how Ford is treating the backbone of Mustang sales

That's too bad. Chevy is making the most of their V6 package in the Camaro with 2LT / RS Package. 335 HP V6 with all the goodies.
With that said, it tops over $30+K. I think Ford missed the boat on this, thinking that either the GT or the Eco would carry the performance.
The 2LT got great reviews on-line (Motor Week, etc..).

I still don't understand why either company spent the time and resources to have a third version, being the v6, when the power outputs are so close. I would think they could save money by eliminating the v6 altogether.

I agree with this statement regarding the Mustang. The V6 seems abandoned. No premium options and it's HP sits around the same as the I4, that does have premium options. Seems like Ford has left the V6 out of the stable...
I4 Eco - 310 HP
V6 - 300 HP
GT - 435

Problem is that Ford price pointed the Eco and base GT so close one has to think why am I getting a fully loaded Eco vs. a well optioned GT?

Where as in the Camaro is offering some choice with the V6 options making it a more flexible platform.
I4 Turbo - 275 HP
RS V6 - 335 HP
SS V8 - 455 HP

Yeah, the only thing I can think of is the v6 must be very cheap for them to make, and make up the largest portion of all the sales combined or something. Maybe the profits they make from the v6 help offset the costs in designing all the models from scratch?

I'm a V6 fan and I was surprised at how little Ford offered in options for the car. I would have liked a sunroof and power passenger seat. Anyway Ford is going to bring back the Fusion Sport in 2017. I had an optioned out 2011 Sport and loved it. More than likely the Stang will be traded for the Fusion next year.

Ford hasn't offered a sunroof for the Mustang since '86 or so.

Echo7, I wouldn't say it's cheap for a brand to make a car, but certainly less expensive than the Eco & GT. It's sad that the 6 was going to be entry level & rental fleet and entry level to Mustang. They could do a lot with that 6... Just as Cadillac and Chevy have done.

The Caddy ATS or Camaro RS in a 6 is serious business. Ford staged the 6 & Eco too close. It's obvious they want to push people into the Eco by adding all the nice features.

The more I look at the Ecoboost and videos on the "inter-webs" I really like them.

I saw GT's and the Eco-4 on their lot with sunroof and both seats powered. There's even a pigtail wire sticking up through the carpet under my passenger seat that probably would hook up to a power seat frame.

Ford does not offer a sunroof. If you saw one, it was aftermarket and dealer installed. Have fun with that.

When I saw these cars with the sunroofs was back in September and I don't recall how the sunroof was priced or described on the window sticker. Maybe they were after market additions by the dealer. I spent quite a lot of time on the Ford website and remember the slim option choice for the 6. Ford is hosing the GT and Eco boost buyers in my opinion.$40,000 for a GT! $35000 for an Eco boost! Really...

Hi, I've wanted a sunroof / moonroof option a Mustang for 20+ years , not going to happen, even with the pretty flat roofs the've had since '05, too bad. Reborn, the Mustangs that you saw were probably done by some stoner employee with a Sawzall !! If it ain't facrory, don't trust it.

Back to topic, I think the Cyclone 3.7L is a GREAT motor for the 2015+ Mustangs, & hope Ford continues & improves it. Not a fan of turbos. I'll take a big V-6, 3.7L , 24 valve, true dual exhaust , 6 spd. manual, 3.15 rear gear anytime over a turbo 4 . Mileage & weight looks about equal.

I own / drive a 2004 GT, 4.6L, Prem, Screaming Yellow, 5 spd manual hardtop, 3.27 rear, ordered her brand new. The 3.7L , hardtop w/ 6 spd manual, 3.15 rear looks equal to mine in preformance & mileage. Looks like I can get an optioned one , 051A group & Ruby Red, interior lites, Sport Pedals, for $ 27K. Extremely fair price. Wish I could get leather & upgrade sound system from Ford. Ford is for sure favoring the EcoBoost lineup, don't really understand it.

I'd like a sun roof but I'm not going to trust my car to some local interior shop to install it. A power passenger seat may not be hard to do if a totaled GT with the same pattern seat material could be found. However that won't be enough to keep me from trading for the Fusion Sport next year.I think I'll save my money because the 2017 model release isn't that far off.

The ragtop is nice but $$$. My 05 is a ragtop.
I have a sunroof in my daily driver (08 Malibu LTZ) and honestly, I never open it, and I mostly keep the sunshade closed.
When the car was new, it leaked, when they adjusted it, they never seated it properly so now it produces a lot of wind noise at highway speeds.
I could do w/out Sunroof.

Perhaps Ford will rethink their options on the V6 now that Chevy has released a premier Camaro V6 option with 335 HP and all the trimmings.
Motorweek gave the 2 RS Camaro a very favorable review.

I like the big naturally aspirated V6 too and the turbo 2.7l on the new Fusion Sport will be my first forced air motor. My 2011 Sport had the 3.5l motor and that car would JUMP! The only drawback was the nose heavy feel which Ford managed to engineer out and create a good handling vehicle. The stock Goodyear RS-A 225/45-18 V rated tires were only good for 25000 miles even with regular rotation. It was overall a great sport sedan to me. We'll see what Ford does to the 2017 car. It has some big shoes to fill.
