I ordered a 07 Alloy Metallic Premium GT w/ manual trans, 18" Polished wheels, charcoal interior, IUP satin, Active anti-theft, Sirius radio, and they said it was the first 07 they're ordering and I saw 10 in the priority box so hopefully I will see it in a couple of months. I lost the link to the forum page that outlined ordering a vehicle from ford does anyone have it by chance? I am just curious what to look for next and how to keep track of the order. Btw I say the color chart for the Alloy and it looked about like the pics from stangsunleashed. It's difficult to tell from a little square but it looks almost black at the right angle in low light then sparkles deep gray in the sunlight. Whatever it is I opted for it instead of the tungsten. Anyone have any luck getting dealerships to not put their logos on the back of the car when you order one? It just looks cleaner without it.

Congrats on the new order. About the fugly Dealership emblem, I just asked them not to put one on and they did not.

Tell them not to drill the holes for the front plate too!!!

Here's a scan from Ford's color binder .
You may not see all the details but it should give you an idea. it does look more black than grey I think.the metallic makes it look really shiny though.
As you can see this will be much darker than tungsten.

My dealer didn't put their logo on mine. I didn't ask them to keep it off, but I know my salesman very well so he probably just knew how picky I was about that... either that, or they just forgot

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised my dealership didn't put any vinyl or any other logo on my car either. They just had a plastic license plate frame which I don't really mind. I'll undoubtedly replace it but I was pleased.

With the Mazda dealership I dealt with on my last two cars they automagically put the vinyl on every car as soon as it hit the lot. The first one I took home had it, that same night a hair dryer took care of that malady and the next car I just asked for it not to be there when I got it and it wasn't there. They can't force you to have one on.

Still haven't even rode in anything except one 05 V6, and have yet to actually drive one. I am just making a 27k+ assumption/bet I won't hate it. Sad after two years the dealership next to my house won't let me test drive one without talking seriously about buy off of the lot. Oh well I ordered it three hours from my house so they didn't get my penny. Too bad the dealership I ordered it from sells billions of truck not cars and didn't have any on the lot at the time.

I always tell them that if they put their emblem on or drill the holes for the front plate that I don't want the vehicle. That's incentive. If they drill holes, make them fix them.

alloy color

just ordered a tungsten 07 GT with appearance package. I was asking the chain smoking baked bean toothed salesman what color alloy was, he said it was somewhere between white and silver, now you're telling me it's almost black? I'm gonna go kick that guy in the groin! I wanted to get a black one real bad but the upkeep on black is tedious and i don't have a garage. I took gray because it looked classy. I'm pushing 40, red with racing stripes would have been over the top for me.

do you have a hard date for delivery yet?
O'l beanteeth the salesman has no info for me yet. placed my order about 3 weeks ago.

I ordered a Grabber Orange GT
5spd
355 gears
appearance package
loaded!!
ordered it about 3 wks ago also...supposed to have a vin # by today (whatever that means)
I was a priority 10. I asked the salesman if I was 10, then why wouldn't he make all his customers a 10 ?
I got the typical saleman answer that I don't remember because he used the Jedi Mind trick on me.
Does anyone have pics of the GT appearance pkg ?
I assume the hood scoop looks like the California special pakage.

yes - that's another mystery that Ol' beanteeth couldn't solve. he had no literature. if it weren't for the fact that this guy was an imbecile and we haggled him down to 1k under msrp (in writing) I would have kicked him down a flight of stairs for wasting oxygen on my planet. I'm assuming that it's like the cali pkg without the side stripes and the scoops. just the rolled exhaust, the hood scoop and the engine cover.

I just called the dealership and they said no problem about leaving the dealer logo off of the car. He said even if something happened and he forgot whenever it finally comes in that they can easily remove it befor I pick it up. BTW I was wondering around my local lot sitting in cars. I noticed the max passenger and cargo weight is 720 lbs. How unsafe is it for me to have 4 200+ people in my car and it be over the mark by 100 lbs.? I mean I weigh 235 dressed with my 1911 on my hip 3 more passengers might be a problem. I can just see myself taking out spare tires, removing carpet, and making people empty their pockets before they get into my car lol. Okay not really.
