Ordered the Black Shelby GT wheels today. Got them for 600 shipped. Best deal I could find, and I've been searching for about 2 weeks now. Had to order the TPMS straps from American Muscle (70 damn dollars! I hate TPMS) and they should be here Thursday, and hopefully I will have them on Friday! I'll be sure to have pics.

Those were the same one's I was going to get! At the last moment I changed my mind and got black 18" FR500's. Good choice PoopDawg! Can't wait for the pics!

No lie! I've been begging my wife for months for new wheels and she kept saying no! Then I showed her the ones I wanted and she was like "Ok. I've seen those in your magazines and those are the ones I like" I was like dammit! Why didn't ya say something sooner! haha Oh well. I don't think I've ever seen his S197 on the board before... Looks awesome though.

It would be nice if we had access to a "more convenient" classifieds area, like a sub forum [like the way one is linked in the classics section]

Can't really complain though, we got a good resource here, free of charge !

i brought it up, but was turned down. if we had it for S197, we would have to make it for all subsections/years/bodystyle/etc. the classic is there because classic parts are rare.

nope. no sales in the discussion forums, per the StangNet Terms of Service. putting a one time sale in your sig is one way to do it properly.

Good choice. The Mustangs of years past had smaller wheels with fat rubber so if retro is the objective the 17 would be the way to go. And the GT500 was available with an automatic transmission!

Gotcha.

BTW... We're getting killed with snow and sleet today... the wheels and sensor straps will be in tomorrow, but I don't know if I'll beable to drive the mustang to work tomorrow to install them. I drove the AWD van to work today because of it, and I slide off the road and almost took out a stop sign! LOL. It's quite fun when you have a 91 AWD 4.3 Safari van with like 120 hp and at 1/10th throttle, you break all 4 tires loose.
