I am going with all black int for my resto. I found this one. It is resonable comapred to the others that I have seen. JC Whitney is crap carpet I hear and quite $$$$$$$. I have 2grand to spend right now for int. So I want the best look and last for the money. Sorry about the past weekend When I made like 8 diff post of the same thing. I didn't mean to piss anyone off. I liked that posting video. I will check the other forums for that kind of stuff. Your input on the carpet would be nice. Thnx guys

In regards to installing it I can ass that I have installed two....It's a pita if you need to cut the holes out.....

you will need a Razor, sissors...also I would Dynamat everything while you are in there.

you can either use the old carpet as a template or do like I do just throw the carpet on and start cutting. be very careful as you can easly throw away a hundred bucks with a wrong cut.

I would start cutting in the areas where the cuts need to be dead on balls. like around the shifter.

Also, after you install it...you really notice that it's kinda lumpy in spots...that will all go away in a month or less.

As far as the rest of your conversion I would stay away from painting or dyeing your parts as they dont stay looking pretty for long as armour all and the oils in your skin will remove it.

post pics soon.

GET GET GET GET The Mass back carpet from 5.0 resto, Awesome carpet! Bit of a pain to cut and trim, but nothing to be scared of, defintely worth the extra money!

What he said . Yeah if you gat the one without the mass back carpet it feels cheap and just doesn't look right, but i would order from 5.0 resto and pass-up on DM (bad CS)

+1 on the mass back, ACC carpet from 5.0 Resto. My Notch had a cheap carpet in it when I bought it. It had to be glued down to keep it in place. I replaced it with the ACC carpet. It was a lot of work cutting the holes (all the holes are not pre-cut to account for the model years that had no center console, etc.) and trimming the edges at the door sills, but it was worth it. Once it's trimmed, the ACC carpet just drops into place.

just got the carpet in

just go the carpet in today. I got home and the wife had put it in the garage. YEAH YEAH YEAH. I know it is only carpet, but it is the foundation of the restoration of the interior. This weekend I will cut out the floor pans and weld in new ones and start to put down the dyno mat that I have waited 2 months to install. I will post pics during the inst. gonna trade a T5 tranny for rear black seat, door seal plates, black seat belts, black dash and a few extras.
