Hey all, I was just thumbing through the 65 owners manual and noticed that the High Performance option (271hp) enginge warranty was only 90 days or 4,000 miles. What was the purpose of this? The standard 289ci engine received 24 months or 24,000 miles. Did they just figure people would be beating the crap out of the hipo engine and didn't want to cover the inevitable problems this would present?

I think you hit the nail on the head......why warranty something that a lot of people are going to possibly put on the track shortly after purchase or beat the living crap out of on the streets.
