I could have bought my first mustang back last year. I bought that car in 90' with around 13-15k on it(too long to remember. To say it's had some mistreatment is an understatement(heck I beat the chit out of it). It only has 60k on it now(a lot of it 1/4 mile at a time). I was tempted(nostalgia) but not for the 5k asking price. I also know it was in a couple accidents/ditch dives(I was young and dumb) and the next owner drove it into the brick wall of a bar lol. He had it fixed and then parked the car for 10years. Otherwise it's in decent shape

I've heard some undo the speedo cable at the transmission and drive around like that to keep the miles from stacking up.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

That's a stretch for a car that most people threw away like Bic razors. Even with the recent bump in prices I don't see the average fox ever reaching collectors status.

My '86 GT is about typical for what I gave for it . (too much !) It has a streight body with no rust , but dear Jesus , everything else is a disaster ! Needs paint, rear main seal is pouring, interior has faded from porno red to ashy gray, window motors shot, in short, years of neglect. I love it !!!
