personally I have a canon a70 and love it. this years model of the same is 50 bucks cheaper. i would go with it. i think its the a75

The main thing I am going to use the camera for is the video and snap shots. My mom will probably use the camera more in the end. I took the videos in my sig with a old and cheap as digital camera and its not that bad. I just want to use the video of when I go to the track and stuff. How much does the Canon a75 go for?

Canon EOS-300D Only thing under $1000 worth buying unless you want a compact camera. But hey I'd sell you my Sony for like $175
