My friends 2000 GT tries to die almost every time you clutch-in coming to a stopsign.. especially if you downshift into 2nd, then clutch and brake it will bog to ~400 and then just die.

We replaced the IAC with one off an 01 and it helped it a little, but it still dies sometimes.

On a side note, anyone ever put voltage to the control on a removed IAC? We stuck a drill battery on the bad one and it would make a hollow plastic 'pop!' noise like a diaphram/solenoid opening. Is that how it should be?
