I ordered all my new fuel system parts yesterday. I got the carb last week from Quickfuel in Bowling Green Ky, (270)-793-0900



It is a 750DP Pro Drag Carb.

I had almost forgot one of the reasons I liked carbs. I am looking forward to firing this thing up in the Spring. Here is a link to the project.

Great project! Lots of custom detailing. I am interested in the radiator hose fitting and temp sensor for the fan. Did you fab the fitting or obtain it from a vendor? And where did the temp sensor come from?

We are using the Delta Current COntrol module (http://www.dccontrol.com) with a Spal fan on the 68 project. The sensor is wedged in the radiator fins (per instructions) and I thought this would be a cleaner install and more accurate temp sensing.

Cool project and cool carb.

Question: How does the steering shaft turn with all of that angle at the first U Joint. I know if you put too much angle in the joint, it causes it to oscillate. How does it turn lock to lock?

I was pulled between using a lighter, cheaper, more efficient in passing the power C4, or a more street friendly AOD with 4.30 gears. I will regret selecting the AOD I am sure. The steering works fine with the front end off the ground, and will have to wait till Spring for a road test. The angle will be much less when I go to LTs, since the shaft can be moved closer to the engine then, with out the shorty collector flange being in the way. If needed, I will go to a double joint near the frame rail.

Nice page. Will check back for more updates. Gave me some nice ideas for my fuel cell project that will hopefully get done in the near future.

And I like the coolant temp sensor. Assume you fabbed up the tee.

I got the hose fitting and sensor switch from these guys. I decided I did NOT want to damage my new radiator. Too tight. (More fins per inch) I figured with the sensor in the return, and my radiator being much bigger now, that I would allow the radiator to cool it as much as possible, then bring on the fan when needed.

I got the one that turned it on at 180, since I am running a carb and a 160 stat for now.
