Well, he never said the year, so I took 95 as a middle year. Anyways, even with 280hp, that's not much to play catchup. Buddy of mine I used to run with had about 335 to the front wheels of a FWD 93 Civic and his car was lightened a whole bunch. He also knew his stuff and the engine was only one place he knew how to work. He pulled hard on the highway, but from a dig, he never really could get going, he would front end fishtail at 70mph.
Anyways, the op doesn't seem to have really anything except drag springs to help him get off the line. Now, some UCA's and LCA's with some sicky tires, he has a chance, but othwise he's going to need a bottle of help.
