I like the 2011/2012 outside mirrors with the small convex piece...so I want to replace the glass on my 2010 with these mirrors. My question is - before I break something - has anyone replaced their mirror glass from 2010/11/12 models? According to the Ford Manual, all you need to do is position the mirror piece so you can get your fingers behind it then pull it straight towards you off its mount.
After measuring my 2010 vs. a friend's 2012 it appears both mirrors are the same dimensions so only the convex glass item is different.
