Over flow tank?

Does the coolent in the overflow ever get pulled back in the rad? or does it just evaporate? reason im asking, i took some coolent out, and tried to add some water wetter. Well, it was still too ffull and alot of it went into te over flow tank. So will that get pulled back in the motor, or should i add another bottle?

It circulates throughout the motor. When it's cold it's nearly empty, but is forced into the overflow after the engine warms up....and is really forced into the overflow it it's running hot! That's why they're marked lower in the cold fill line than in the hot.

Yep. The coolant is always circulating, but is slowed and controlled by the T-stat. In order to prevent hot spots and to keep emmisions levels to a minimum, the coolant and pressure must be regulated. All that cannot be sent though the system must go else ware, hence the need for an overflow jug. When the demand for the coolant to circulate is called upon, the thermostat opens and the coolant is again drawn from the overflow tank and circulated back into the engine.

water wetter is supose to be good stuff notice any difference??? royal purple has some stuff out that is supose to be better called ICE it is synthetic.
