after getting off the highway on my way home today, i started to smell coolant, and noticed that my temp gauge was reading a little hot, when i got home, the gauge was on hot, and steam was coming out from under the hood. I popped the hood to find my upper radiator hose had blown off.
This happened a couple months ago, and at the time i just refilled the system. about a week later i noticed drips under the car, and ended up replacing the water pump, and thermostat thinking that might have caused the initial hose problem.
So it happened again today, since the first problem i have not since even the slightest hint of over heating even taking the car to the strip and on long highway trips, including one this past weekend.
does anyone have any idea on what the problem might be, i was thinking maybe head gasket, but the last time this happened i checked for any gas smells in the coolant, or bubbles and there were none. The radiator is only about 6 months old, so i would think that should have a clog, but I'm at a lose. Any ideas?
