I was driving down the road accelerating @ 4600 rpm going 65-70 mph, when I looked back and saw white steam/smoke billowing out from behind me. I pulled over and shut it off, the temp wasnt REALLY hot, it hadnt hit the red yet but was a little over 1/2 way on the gauge.
I let it sit for 15 minuites untill it cooled down completely, and then started driving it back slowly untill I started to see it overheat,. I stopped again and smoke/steam was coming from under the hood. I havent ever beat on the car, and was surprised something went wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

Well, some more information would help out. Did you notice any leaks? Any coolant anywhere?
Check your hoses and radiator. If everything looks good, and there are no leaks, and you have plenty of coolant in the radiator it sounds like it is the water pump.

I noticed coolant leaking on the road at first, and after I drove it the second time it was just some ( a little) water dripping, but all fluid levels are full, so I was confused.

Thanks for any more info.

Was the smoke "billowing" from your exhaust? If so, that's burning coolant, which is probably due to a blown head gasket, which will cause overheating. BTW, I'd say 65-70 mph @4600 rpm is a minor beating dude.

If the smoke wasn't from your exhaust, but from your radiator, then there could be multiple causes for that. Like xplo said, check for leaks first, make sure the rad is full. In addition to the water pump, you might pay some attention to the radiator.

Nothing is coming from the exhaust, just under the hood, not exactly where. and no, I wasnt under HARD acceleration, I never went over 4200-4600 max rpm during the complete process from a stop, when at 65, I had it at about -2500rpm just saying I wasnt red-lining it. sorry for the misunderstanding.

No coolant would be a factor in an engine overheating. The worse thing about overheating due to collant loss is that if there is no coolant, the gauge will have nothing to read correct temprature, and it will get hot real fast.

Fill it with water and see where it is leaking.

Check to see if your radiator cap is leaking...also do you still have an overflow tank...if not it could be pouring out your tubing from the radiator...just some simple things to check...

Look for coolant on top of your water pump that is actually coming from the water pump...

I would sit it at idle and see if leaks anywhere...
