I just got a used P-51 intake for my car. The previous owner had tried to spray paint it or something. I would like to have it powder coated. My husband is against this because of all of the bolt holes and the holes for the intake ports. Do any of you have experience with this? Can you tell me if this is a wise choice, or should I just try to clean it up and leave it as is?

here is a pic of a powder coated p51....i think it looks really sharp!

Well I just got back from the powder coater. He said I could save some money and take it apart and mask it off myself. If he does all the work it's going to cost me $300.00. I bought some high temp masking tape from him for $10.00 a roll...owch!! Wish me luck, and I'll be sure to post up some pictures when It's done!

do you know who's that is?

His name is Mitch, and I have seen that motor and the car it was in, in person. VERY VERY sick car...I still cant believe he sold it though! He had ALOT of time and money in it...I remember when it was MILD bolton and new back in 03 when he got it.

I believe he traded it for a notch with a 408...supposedly the notch runs 9s or something.

Look forard to the pics stang girl.

Yeah, someone had posted that it was his. I was shocked when he sold it so soon after seeing the vids and hearing what he was running in it.
