if you read the complete article and look at the hp and tq, numbers and figure in that the elbow is worth 9 hp and 5 ft.lbs. that means the p-51 made 16.9 more hp than a stock int and elbow @ 6250 rpm and 20.7 hp @6750 rpm.in the test car from anderson ,rick shifts that engine around 7000 rpm and only falls to 5500 or so on the shift, which means it made an avrage of 16.75 more hp than a stock int and elbow ,if thats what you have to compare it to, in that rpm range. the power that it made will make that car go about 2 tenths faster if you keep it in the 5500-7000 rpm range as it was intended to run on this test .thats a better gain than a 302 manifold ever made on stock ported heads .if you dont want to turn that much rpm fox lake can make a cam that will make power in lower rpm range to fit your needs[custom cams].and i think the p-51 looks a whole lot better than the plasic piece with a sewer elbow stuck on top.as for the price ,this is a way harder piece to make and does come with fuel rails and all hardware un like the bullit which costs 200.00 more only makes 5 hp and takes 2 days to install

And if it was $500 or $600, I and a whole lot of other people would buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I for one have pre-paid for one of these intakes from Fox lake and i'm waiting to try it myself I have struck up a friendship with Ron at foxlake in fact when I saw the post about the testing and the feedback I called him and we had a conversation about the results and how they were acheived on a car with race profile cams. He also sent me an e-mail to help clarify this info..... "scott, withreguards to the 5.0 mag art. the test car from anderson is intended to run in the 5500-7000 rpm range w/the cams he has in it,so if you look at the numbers in that range, it makes anaverage of 8hp over the stock int w/dragon elbow. if you add in the 9 hp from the dragon ,thats 17 hp average increase from 5500-7000 rpm w/stock int and elbow.if they want more tq. down low the we can change cams to acomodate that.in my opinion and rick anderson it worked very well with his combo and will make the car faster. if you would post this or some thing like it i would apreciate it very much, thanks, ron" Well thats all I have for now.

I still think this Intake is Waaaayyy overpriced!

and I can't wait for a $500 C @ L or "Dragon"

My .02

What I don't understand is why everyone is arguing....? While I like the bullit intake Ron is right, why pay all that money for 5hp. I can get that from my new C&L upper and I got it and the 75mm T/B for 500. However I also know that when I do deside to put some real power (power=PSI) to my motor the first thing to go will be the plastic and the C&L. I really like that P-51 because I think that it will hold up just like a bullit will and I get to keep my orignal 75mm T/B saving some money down the road. The P-51 can be bought for 999 without fuel rails and as far as I know the bullit needs enough other crap that it's price will soon reach 999 when you start to buy stuff for it. I liked the flow numbers and I really like the fact that it's different. guess that's just me though.......

why buy the P-51 for $999 when you can buy the dragon or C&L upper intake for $200 and get half the gain of the P-51...... I wouldnt buy anything that loses power half way across the chart anyways........and I shift at 6000 rpm so it would be a waste of my money...........

you guys arent too bright, start reading and you will realize a bullitt intake is worth more than 5hp.

gee, i wonder what all the fast N/A cars are running? would they do it for 5 measley horsepower?
