So ive been thinking and i wanna see how much a pi swap is running me.....doing the full swap or what parts do i really need? Can i just do cams and intake manifold or are the heads key in the swap??? your comments are appreciated.
and the cams, the heads will help but are not worth the effort imo.....with cams and intake expect around 25-30rwhp, with the heads/cams/intake expect 40-45rwhp.
IMO it would depend on how cheap you can get the parts. I have a buddy who did the swap about a year ago really woke the car up. He got used heads, and intake for $450 put in new Comp stage 1s for $550 and paid a local guy $300 including all other parts new head gaskets etc. to do the swap, so $1300 his car was running but that was with the bare essentials to get the job done.
Engine (located right at the border of CA and Mexico, in chula vista): $1,000.00
Labor with tuner and Predator handheld: $1,200.00 Cash price. no tax taken out
btw. This is a good time to upgrade your headers, clutch , K member or so.
