Okay so I recently passed smog on the mustang so now I can move on to other things. The car was in a front end accident a while back that caused some damage to the brake line and power steering hoses behind the radiator. I purchased the brake lines from ford yesterday so thats taken care of. I've been looking for the correct hoses to buy but got a little mixed up. From what I see there are a total of 5 hoses that connect the power steering together. Some of them are pressure hoses and some are return lines. What I'd like to know is exactly what hoses will I need to overhaul the steering system. Also what steps do I need to take to install these together? FYI, I'm replacing the 2 brake lines from the abs controller to master cylinder, 1 brake line from the abs controller to left front caliper. I know I need to flush and bleed both systems but I don't know where to begin.
The car is a 2000 Mustang GT.
Okay so I made a picture to show the lines. I know 2 pressure lines so far. The lines in question are the ones I need. One comes off the steering rack and stright into the reservoir. The other hits that same hose on a T type fitting into the reservoir. Ford parts dealer says something about gear to cooler and cooler to gear. Didn't see any pictures so I couldn't make it out. So what are these two lines called?
Thanks
