P/S pump cooler removal??

Would there be a side affect to removing that line the runs through the P/s pump? If it can be removed I can eliminate one hose and just have a straight connection from the rach to the pump instead one line going to the metal line and back out. Does that thing even make a difference?

I asked this question a few months ago, everyone who replied had removed it, so i removed mine.

Go ahead, rip it off, doesn't do much anyhow.

Edit: The search doesn't go back far enough. So those who ripped it out had no affects?
