PA Performance Alternator Questions

well guys, got the motor running.

My car is a different car now.

Befor, nasty surge idle at times. Not anymore.
Befor, low headlights at idle (underdrives). Not anymore.
Befor, Motor would bog slightly with headlights & AC or Heater on. Not anymore.
Befor, turn signal would blink slow at traffic light. Not anymore.
Befor, could hardly hear fuel pump. Not anymore.....Its loud!
Befor, Rich lean indicator would move slow. Not anymore....Its fast!

My motor is a better motor now. Its smoother and better. All that because i upgraded to a PA Performance 130 amp alternator. As yall know, they are pricey--but worth it.

I had read some posts by other members saying that an alternator upgrade had been one of their best upgrades.............I believe them now.

And for those of you that are thinking about an alternator upgrade....You wont be sorry.

Thanks for the help guys!!

And a special thanks to HISSIN'. :hail2: YEEHAA!!

The wire I used was switch to starter wire 4awg. You can usually find a length pre-made at a parts store for whatever length you need. The fuse holder I got from Napa as well as the fuse.

4awg for the power and also for the ground wire too.

Or you can order a kit from PA Performance. I did not do that so I can't comment on what to order from them.

Ask away if you still have questions. They have all been asked before, but would be happy to answer them again. I have a 95 amp 3G used on several different Ford applications, but will some day trade it in for a 130 amp 3G used on 94 Econoline 5.8 liter. Same case as ours.
