Paint Chips in the Hood

Unfortunately I live up North and the Winter beats up on every car. My stang is my daily driver and it took some hits this winter. I just washed my car a few days ago and I noticed a bunch of little chips on the hood. They're most likely from rocks or salt being kicked up. I don't think this is covered in the warranty so what can I do and what can I do to prevent this in the future? Thanks.

Are they at the front of the hood????

A bra does wonders for those specifically - Keeping the car clean underneath is important though.

I never go on any long trip without the Bikini bra (just covers hood-front).
