paint for glove box and int?

what kind of paint and also what color do you recommend for repainting the black on the instrument bezel and glove box? also what do you recommend for painting the kick panels, int door and backseat side panels?

I used interior paint too worked great on the metal of the doors/dash/column. I strongly recomend stripping off the old paint first, at a minumum sand it heavily.

But for the kick panels you'll want to use a dye not paint. I am not familiar enough with the 66 seats to make a recommendation, but if they are like the 67 versions they'll need dye also.

I got some black interior paint from California Mustang a while back, and it worked great.

Thats what I used on my '65 notch back in the late '90s. It was a black satin laquer.

You can also get "Classic" laquer in assorted colors at Pep Boys. I picked up a can of satin black to test on my ashtray door and it is an extremely close match. Just dont paint over enamel or it will wrinkle.....and not in a good way.

You can also try using a single-stage satin black shot through a spray gun. It would likely be more durable than spray cans, which may be important if you have kids or sloppy friends amd have to use some sort of cleaner. Some cleaners are pretty aggressive and will take aeresol paint right off.
