Definitley stay with the original color, painting door jams and the engine bay a diff color is twice the work. As for as two tone, i've seen some good two tones that have black on the top cabin part of the car - but i dont know what you'd do w/ a black car. I've always thought flat black stripes and a flat black wing would look sick, I've seen it on an old 67' stang that had two strips of dark tint on the back window to line up w/ the stripes and it looked friggin sick

A quality paint job is going to be $$$$. Ask for a mongoose kit instead .

But if you must get a paint job, i'd do red bottom black top, or white bottom black top. Sort of how Camaros are.

Love the ghostflames... too bad you weren't closer to CT or I'd be your painter... sort of thinking about matching my GT to my bike one of these days... its alot darker and more subtle than what the pics look like, but the camera flash makes everything stand out.

i might be getting a KB this summer cuz i got a 15K scholarship so i am either getting that or a HP TT setup. but for now i want to be able to take pride in how the car looks. it has so many scratches and imperfections that i feel ridiculous washing it 3 times a week like i do because it still looks bad after i wash it. so the paint is first. then the power!

Sweet bike! Thanks for the compliment and you got some real talent. And I agree cameras can't really appreciate how ghost flames look. When I put the flash it comes out a lot, but with no flash you can't hardly see them.

Metalic Black has little flakes of glitter mixed in, sparkles in the sun.
Flat black is super dull and would look bad on a car, like the color of a BBQ grill.

Black bottom, dark red top, thin silver line to separate. If I had my MM&FF's with me, I'd scan a pic of what I'm thinking of, but I don't...

Ghost flames are pimp too.

Or you could just get it painted black again. You said your car had a bunch of scratches n ****... I'm in the same boat. My front bumper is probably about 5% little white dots from bug guts eating through the paint. I've got scratches around the fuel door where some punks broke my old one off, and I've got a small dent that went through all the paint when someone hit it in a parking lot and drove off. If I ever get it repainted, I'd just go black again. Black Mustangs are fine as hell on their own, without screaming for attention. You'd also be going easy on your dad's pocket book, and he might be more willing to help you out later on with something more important.
