I drive a Redfire 2006 V6 with black rocker stripes and have been planning on buying a pair of Roush quarter louvers. I've seen a picture of a 2005+ red (i'm not sure if' it's turbo or redfire because of the lighting) mustang with black louvers and black rear panel trim and was wondering what you guys thought about me getting my louvers in black to match my rocker stripes and possibly going on to paint my stock spoiler black to match. All opinions are appreciated, thanks a lot in advance.

ok, thanks. Other people have given me some pretty positive opinions about it too. I've had somebody tell me that I should include a Roush hood scoop and keep the top Redfire and sides black to add some symmetry, i think i like the idea.

I wouldn't do two colors on the scoop, myself. But I do like the idea of a black scoop on the red hood. You might want to try to photochop it first, to see how it would look.

I think a black chin spoiler would look good too, it would carry the black rocker panel visuals to the front of the car.

I'm not sure if i'd get a solid black hood scoop partly because I'm not sure if I would like the look of it and partly because I'd like to eventually get some black rally stripes and i think I'd like seeing the red scoop coming up through the black striping. I like your idea about the chin spoiler, but I've had my heart set on the 3D Carbon front air dam for my chin.

I HIGHLY advise painting the louvers to match your car color.

My brother has an '06 red V6. He previously had black quarter louvers which matched his black stripes and black rear window louvers. It looked OK.

Then he replaced them with Roush quarter louvers and painted them to match the car. The vehicle looks 10 times better, in my opinion.

Get it painted. I would.

Ok, thanks for the input. The more I think about it, the more it does seem like something that sounds like it could be cool in theory, but isn't really worth risking the time and extra cash in case I end up not liking it.

yeah, I think I'll be ordering them non-painted so I can see the part neutrally with the car and get a better idea before making any kind of near permanent decisions. I've done some photoshop work to get an idea and i guess it helps a bit, i'm not sure if you guys care to see that though
