I have a 66 "Candy apple red" fastback and I'm looking at buying a newer fastback. It looks like the new candy apple red is much darker than the 66 and that the new torch red seems to be closer in color. I'm only going by pictures on the net and because the roads are still snowy in upper Wisconsin, I'm not willing to take the 66 out and compare it with the new cars. Does anyone know which (new) red more closely compares to the old colors?

Why not just wait for better weather and take the 66 down the the dealer and park it next to a new one and see?

I find torch red to be more of a bright red and the new candyapple to be closer to the color on my '67 or maybe I'm just hoping mine will look that way when done.
