Painted interior

You can use the same as the exterior paint. You just need to mix it to the consistency of milk for the air brush. You can pick up an air brush kit at Wal-Mart for around $15.

skim milk or whole milk? jk

seriously though, what do you mix it with to get it to the right consistancy?

also, i'm not familiar with air brushing. is it $15 for everything you need, or do you also need other stuff (like an air compressor)?

The kit is $15 and you will need to get some propellant. Whole milk type of thickness and paint thinner to mix. Just practice on stuff you got laying around before you go gung ho on your interior pieces.
You need to prep the area you are cleaning very very well I can not stress this enough b/c this is the majority of the work. Degrease and wash with soap then mineral spirits until it is squeaky clean and it will squeak when it is clean. You need to get in every crease and crack b/c one weakness and it peels it will continue on in time.
Let it dry thoroughly until you start to fool with it and lightly sprayed multiple coats are better than one heavy coat. Let it dry in b/t coats and then finish with some clear coat.

JR... maybe you can help me on what I can do with my interrior  I dont know anything I can do to accent the color of my car (red). Heres a picture.. Let me know what you think I can do to make it look better.

What do you think about the idea of
A black air bag, console cover and door sill covers would look nice.
Paint the dash bezel and radio trim with gloss black.
Are you in love with your red seats? If not black seats would look sweet

The sill covers is the trim along your carpeting by the doors and the console cover is you arm rest. I think even a total black console would look clean too. The seats would be a nice addition.

I like how the doors look... but I'll have to check out that console cover. That might look nice. Theres not much I want to change about my interrior, but theres just like one thing missing and I cant seem to put my finger on it :( I was thinking painting the trim around the radio with left over paint from my car, but I dont know... Gloss black might look good for that.

1105 - I love that interior! I grin ear to ear every time I see it. My brother was looking over my shoulder and goes, "Damn... thats like a bumper sticker, its funny on someone else's car but I wouldn't want it." But what does he know, he drives a Camaro.

EDIT - I just noticed that you had cruise control? I didn't know GTS' could come with cruise control, now I feal cheated cause mine's bare bones.

cruise, tilt, defrost, and a few other things were optional on the GTS's and the person who bought my car before me wanted cruise.

and for your brother..

Please tell me thats an old picture and you have something better in there now RC

Better than what??? You see the date on the picture.

For those who say "no offense, I dont like the chrome", I never take offense if someone just says they dont like it...If EVERYONE like it, we would all have the same car.

It's when people say.."it sucks" or "looks like crap" that I get

Black96vert: Your knobs look chrome to me in those pics!

i don't know what kind of paint used for my interior. i have to be honest, it was already painted before i got the car. but anyway, i do know what you need. go to your local hardware store/paint store and pick up some plastic sealer (rustoleum product i think) ask them for it in a spray can.

1. clean surface
2. clean with 3M general purpose cleaner/mineral spirits
3. wash off and repeat step 2, wash off again.
4. apply 1-2 coats of plastic sealer (allowing to dry in between)
5. apply any color paint of your preference
6. let dry between coats, should do like 3-4 coats
7. spray with some clear coat and let dry and cure before use

4.(alternate) Krylon Fusion paint, 3-4 coats, jump to step 7

like JR said, multiple thin coats are better than one thick coat. if its something that you touch alot, make sure you use alot of cleaner to get all the oil from your hands off before painting

1105 - i would get black carpeting, not just floor mats. get a black steering wheel, paint the door handles black, and like you said the seats. break up some of that porno red.

thanks guys for the compliments, always appreciated
