I painted the wiper arms, and Cowl Grill today with some duplicolor High Temp engine paint I had laying around. They came out good.
I wanted to do this for a while because the arms didn't have much paint left on them and the glare would really blind me sometimes. I had enough of the glare today, so I got to work.
1. Remove the wiper arms. Also, take the blade assembly off the arm.
2. Sand them down with 800 grit sandpaper.
3. Wiper them off with water or windex.
4. Using an air compressor, blow the water off real good
5. Let dry for a while
6. Paint with the spray can, (I used a Low Gloss paint to cut down on glare)
For the cowl grill
1. Unscrew the 6 sheetmetal screws that hold it down
2. Remove the wiper fluid hose from the nozzle.
3. Tape off the spray nozzle hole with masking tape.
4. Sand with 800
5. Paint (I used a Low Gloss paint)
I just sanded the heck out of it, and them washed it with soap and water. I blew off the water with the air hose, and then painted it the same way.
Really easy to do, and only took 1 hr. total.
