i want to paint my door skins but dont know how to start. how do i take off my door panels? what steps do i take to remove and apply the paint?

- if i buy new door panels do they come with ther panel moldings? (the chrom pieces )

i also want to repaint my quarter panels. how the heck do you take those off?

Yes, the door panels come with the chrome. The door panels have clips, move your fingers around the outskirt of the panel, and you will feel where they are. You can buy a tool that is specifically for removing them, but I am just really carful with a flathead. The quarter panels have 3 or 4 screws that hold them to the car. Easy to remove. I haven't painted my door skins yet, but I already have the paint.

Ok, now how do i remove the knobs?

The knobs should have a small hole that will accept an allen key and unscrew. Let us know how it goes, as I'll probably be doing this over the winter.
