I used a single stage pint in the engine bay because I'm no painter.
The guy who paint my car and engine bay when 2 stage and it seems to have a deeper shine is the only difference I see.

The difference is that the engine bay matches the rest of the car and a professional did it this time.

Ues thats true stang22, but would it be worth it for the extra cash. I realize when going all out it is, no question, but for us low budget guys with nowhere near as nice bays, is it worth it. I spent probably $50-75 tops on my bay (all materials) and although it isnt perfect it isnt bad, especially for a car that will see near 10000 miles a year.

Well I actually welded and moved the wires a few years ago. This time around I sanded it all down and redid a lot of it, to get it smoother. I used regular bondo for a skim coat, and then Icing to create the topmost thin coat. Then it was rattle can white primer, then wet sanded, then rattle can Nissan color I had mixed locally. It doesnt look as nice as if I had sprayed it with a gun and real paint, but then again I plan to redo it when the new motor gets built!

i cant wait for warm weather so i can rip out my engine and get to work its killling me im so anxious!!

Tell me about it this damn 15 degrees with 20 mph winds is killing me just walking to and from class... Im glad we have a heated shop on the house!
i wanna get my bay painted so i can throw my motor back in but its been -30C (-22F) without the windchill for the past 3 weeks. i don't wanna run my heater full blast just to keep it above freezing
