Painting stock intake

Has anyone painted the stock intake? I don't think the performance gains of a CAI are worth the price you pay, but I do want a better look. Anyone painted their stock plastic piece red or anything? Thanks

it would look very cheap to do that. if you are that concerned about the look you should get a CAI.

I saw a car with the stock intake painted maroon and it looked good. He said he did it with regular automotive paint and when I saw it the intake had been painted for 8 months.

Yea if I do it I'll prolly do it with brake caliper or engine block paint, to make sure it'll withstand the temps. Just tryin to see if anyone has pics
