Painting tail light bezels.....

What was that stuff called that everyone said would be great to use??? I think it was like Krylon or something like that. Where to get????

Also, is there a detailed write up on this anywhere?

I esed rustoleum(sp) on mine. a light sanding and taping, the taping takes the longest. You might want to find a paint specific for plastic though, I couldn't find any at the time let alone the hardware store I went to.

i think it was called krylon fusion. i was going to post the same question, i didnt want to get somthing that didnt work.

I wouldn't use rustoleum on plastic because I once melted the body of a model car just by painting it with rustoleum.

yea ive done that one too......LOL.......back on topic, i used "rustoleum for plastics" with krylon fusion clear coat.......taping is the biggest pain in teh ass, but its worth the results...

i had to paint mine, so i just went and picked up a can. think i can paint my mirrors w/ it?

The Krylon Fusion is really easy to use. Dries in an hour. Becomes chip resistant in 7 days. I used the Satin Black on my bezels after 1000/2000 wet sanding them, it looks a bit shiny for Satin but that's ok.
Last weekend I used it to restore the lower portion of the rear bumper, I must say it looks pretty sharp....Next up the mirrors and the cowl panel!!!

Don't bother with it. Sand, primer, then use the color paint you want. If you want it to last anyway.
