IMO, part of the problem is that most of the rules are never enforced, and at times even violated by the moderators, so there is no fear of enforcement to keep people within the rules. Had the verbal attacks been squashed early on, or non-tech items been routinely cleared out of tech, I don't think we would have ever gotten to this point. That's why I have always felt OT threads should be cleared from Tech. If we kept this forum strictly to discussing Classic Mustangs there would be little chance of things spiraling into such a mess. We would have more integrity as a forum and a stronger contributing membership. People should be able to come to this forum with the shared interests in Classic Mustangs and be able to leave all their differences (political, race, religion, age, economic status, education level, etc) out of it.

Just my opinion

I agree, the moderators of this forum need to take responsibility for not nipping it in the bud. You can point the finger at both Oz and Pak, but the reality is that with the rules posted and that have been referenced many a time from GP and I alone in our previous disagreements (which never turned so ugly), are not enforced consistently enough, especially in the insults and disagreement capacity.

Forum Moderators - Please learn from this and enforce all rules consistently, this could have been avoided and a certain amound of responsibility has to lay with the moderators. Granted Oz and Pak are grown men, as is Hop, GP, myself etc. and we should know better, but if pushing the envelope is not acceptable here, things wouldn't get personal and out of hand.

PS. GP, you and I seem to be agreeing quite a bit lately, are you scared like I am...lol...:jester:

I agree to a large degree. Let it die, stop talking about Pak and Oz (and whatever transpired, I don't care enough to research it), there's nothing constructive to be said or heard anymore on that subject.

I disagree to a large degree, a huge lesson can be learned here from their dispute. Why does anything that hints to a classified get locked right off the bat but when a dispute starts it seems to be allowed to follow its course without immediate intervention.

I want this thread to die. So I'm stating that I want it to die and moving back to the top. Ha ha.

And I've had too much of this topic so I keep reading it instead of just ignoring it.

JERRY! JERRY!

I don't mean to keep it going but I haven't been around in a while. I never heard anything about it but I can take a good guess at how it happened.

A little off the subject....can someone show me the thread about Pak's wreck or tell me about it...I loved that car!

BTW, if I ever annoy, please tell me in a calm collected manner before i get banned or something terrible :rlaugh:

I left quite some time ago, Oz was a reason. He was too much BS and offered more errors in his technical responses than good. I now stop in here once every few months to see if anything has changed, but unfortunately it has not. This place is more like an AOL chatroom, too many child-like babies running around providing bad info.

A few months ago I slowed my visits to this site due to the same stuff, bickering, people spreading hate, lots of misleading tech, etc. Since I'm also a dirt bike guy, I started visiting a dirt bike forum and was amazed! Yes the folks there disagree as much as anyone, but they get over it and always treat each other with the same respect they would in a face-to-face discussion. In my opinion, THAT is THE key to healthy discussions. There will always be disagreements, that's just human nature, but to bring people's personal problems into it just to hurt their feelings is wrong. Don't post or reply to a post when your pissed, you'll just wind up saying things you shouldn't. That may sound kinda hypocritical, since I have a tendency to be a smart-ass, but if it'll make this a better place to visit, I promise to do my part, how about the rest of us?

Guys,

I try to be low key with the Forum.
Flexing muscles and proving I'm in charge isn't something I like to do.
However, when people get out of line on a constant basis something had to be done. They kept on creating a bad environment in the Forum despite being warned. End of story.
