Parking brake light?

I've had an issue with my parking brake light staying on for a while now. I decided to fix the problem but it still stays on. My brake fluid is full, the switch in the fluid reservoir is working , I replaced the switch on the parking brake handle and it is working. The way the switches are setup indicates that the light will come on when the circuit is closed. So with this info I checked the ohms at the wires that lead to the handle switch and they are shorting out somewhere. I get a real high resistance reading but not infinite. The reservoir wires show infinite. The wires from the handle switch look fine from what I can see. I don't have a hoist so I haven't been able to check under the car yet. Has anyone else run into this problem? Where should I look next?

Thanks

Well, I looked all over and can't find any shorted wires. Like I said above it looks like the light is supposed to come on when the circuit is closed. I tried disconnecting the switches to ensure that the circuit was open and the light still stays on. Anyone else have any input on this? Would really like to get this fixed!
