Parts question....

I hope this is the right forum.....

I posted a while back about some modifications on my car, and I just dropped it off at the dealership.

I showed up with:
62mm TB
Steeda coldair intake
SCT X3 tuner
4.10 gears
Bearing kit
x-pipe

And left in the rental car after buying a Paxton supercharger from the owner of the dealership. :D

We're going to send back the 4.10 gears and bearing kit, sell the tuner...

But my question is:

Should we also scratch the steeda intake and 62 mm TC TB?

I just want opinions before the guy calls tomorrow and gives me a new layout of what will be done.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, sorry if I don't sound much like I know what I'm talking about...for the most part, I dont (ha). I'd much rather just bring it to Rob (owner), and tell him to call me when its done and send me the bill.....which is pretty much what I'm doing....I just want to make sure what his guys tell him to do is accurate.

Again, Thanks

Kobi Baby:

I suggest you keep the intake and TB. Why? Less restriction in the intake tract will result in better performance. The supercharger, like any centrifugal compressor, moves volume so it is essential to get the air as dense as it can be. If 1 cubic foot of air has a higher density, there is more mass in that cubic foot. Mass is what you want to cram into the engine. So, lessen the pressure drop (restriction) and use cold air (so cold air intake) and the density will be as high as it practically can be.

the steeda intake will be useless with the paxton setup so scrap that

a 62mm TB is smaller than stock so i don't really see the advantage there:shrug:
with a s/c setup you'll want a 70 or 75mm TB and if you buy one just save it for the s/c install

of all the stuff you mentioned i'd keep everything EXCEPT the stuff you're keeping

Thanks, but 62mm is bigger than the stock one on an 07. And the tuner is not programmed for a supercharger...and the 4.10 gears are much too steep to go with a supercharger, IMO. Also, the owner has a paxton, and didn't say anything about scrapping the intake.

I appreciate the input though, all of these tips will help tomorrow.
