Looks like they are the same company that has been doing head porting and such for the 4.6l 2V and 4Vs and they have finally gotten into the 5.0 game. You might want to check in with some of the 4.6 forums and see what they have to say about them.

Yes,BUT the 4.6/5.4L guys still only got stock heads to deal with, they can simple be ported and out fitted with new custom parts, but its stil lthe factroy Ford casting.

The new patriot heads are thier own casting, and I would question thier casting quality and machining. If you get a set, first thing you need to do is take them to a machine shop and have them checked over.Mostly the valve guids (clearance, material, and making sure there installed correctly),the seals, valve angles and seats, basicly everything lol.

Very true and a trip to the machine shop is great advice. I would hope that since they seem to have a good rep with the 4.6/5.4 guys they wouldn't blow it by putting their name on junk parts for the 5.0 guys.

If someone on here,or someone any of you know gets a set, please have them take them to a machine shop and checked-out. If they turn out good,we will now have a nice affordable aluminum head alternaive than just the old GT40Y heads.

...interested to see as well. Isn't $800 getting pretty close to TFS pricing though?

I'm seriously considering these.. Got to see how the bonus check goes this month. Approx what would a machine shop charge to check them out?

If you are that skeptical. i would buy them bare. Have them assembled by a trusted local shop. And maybe even a minor p/p on them also.

Found this posted on Corral by Gunnar of Patriot Performance..

These are an off shore casting of our own design. All assembly, valve jobs, gasket matching, etc. is done right here in our shop. We use only high quality parts in these heads. These heads are a new thing in the head world... great performance at an excellent price.

Sounds like the aluminum heads that were "from Australia" when they were really from China..some no name brand, not Pro Topline or whatever it was.

As I recall, they had problems with the pushrod holes..not being machined enough. If they've taken care of all the machining and making sure they'll work without hassle, it's a good purchase. If not, well...better off buying them straight from China since it would basically just be a rebox, or better yet go name brand.

The only thing that pulls me in on these is that Patriot has a great name for itself doing the 4.6 heads. Otherwise I would wait for a set of TW heads. They do look like a set of AFR's. I wonder if this a Edelbrock/Professional Products type of thing.
