so i was trying to use the BIN option on ebay, but my paypal account wouldn't let me go over $500. so i said, ok, give it all my bank info to get verified, and thats fine, but doesn't lift the limit. i got to the "my limits" thing and notice that in order to get the $500 dollar thing lifted, i have to add a bank account (which i just did) and punch in my social security number. so i say, no big deal. go to punch it in, and it says it's infalid . This makes no sence because i used my social when adding my bank account and everything turned out fine. so whats the deal. has this happened to anyone else. it's pissing me off because i don't know how long this part is going to be on there, so i need to figure this out as soon as possable. any help would be great guys. thanks!

If I was you I would refuse to use Paypal. They are an evil company with very poor business practices.

Long story, but a few years ago Paypal basically stole 1,700$ from me. I ended up joining in one of the many class action lawsuits against them and eventually got 1,000$ of that back.

It sucks because lots of people on ebay are blind to the problems and still use Paypal. I'd much rather be safe and send a money order or certified check.

I believe you have to wait in order to make the bank account active. PayPal makes 2 small deposits into your bank account, when those deposits post to your bank account you log back into PayPal and punch in the two small amounts deposited.
