PCM code

alright so i got my car tuned yesterday and today i get a check engine code. i work at a garage so i have access to a nice scanner. well i got a code saying "511 PCM ROM Failure". i cant get ahold of the person who tuned my car, so i was hoping someone here could help me out. does anyone know what this code means? oh and i did have a chip burned.

Obviously the burned chip is bad. Take it back.

Obviously it cant be that bad cause the car runs mint...but i see what your saying

I know with the Tweecer you gotta make a minor scalar change or the interface being plugged into the service port will throw a CEL.

I wanna think some peeps said that anytime you put something in that port you will get that CEL unless you make that change I was talking about.

You could go to the Yahoo Tweecer site and go all the way back to the first threads and I bet you'd be able to find some more specific info.

Not much help I know.........................

well i did get ahold of the tunner today and was told that it is nothing. come to find out that wasnt the code that set the CEL. but that it was a oxygen sensor malfunction that did. anyway, i was told that the computer will always throw that code cause there is a chip now. anyway, the car runs mint and eats up ls1's...

I had read elsewhere that this can be normal as well because of the chip. If she runs good, who cares.
