Do you need to use the factory molded hoses. If so does anyone know anywhere to order them from or do I have to make my way over to the dealership. I had originaly bought and planned on putting on a ported stock upper and lower. Im not even close to being a mechanic but i thought i would give it a shot. I had also bought the 24lb injectors and a new mass air kit. When i tried to do the swap i had no problem getting the upper off but i was kinda lost when i got to the bottom so i thought i better stop before i mess something up. Anyways i broke the vacuum tee and one of the hoses. The one that broke was the one that had no bends so i went to the store and got a new tee and a piece of straight hose.I want to replace it because am pretty sure its leaking a lil bit.I just bought the 94-95 upper and lower and I am going to bring it in to have someone who knows what they are doing take care of the swap. Again,my question,do you need the factory hoses and does anyone know where to ordered them from or do I have to go to ford.Thanks.

You should be able to get replacement hoses at any parts store. The curved lines (like the one that runs from the intake tube to your crankcase) need to be "molded" because you can't take a straight hose and bend it. It will kink and cut off airflow, which is critical on vacuum lines. But Advanced Auto Parts, O'Reilly's, Autozone, Car Quest etc. etc. should have them.

i went to pepboys with the molded hose when i had to get the new tee and the guy told me i had to go to the dealership. i havent checked anywhere else yet so maybe that guy just didnt know what he was talking about. do you know a part number or what i should ask for. is it called a molded hose. Thanks for the input.

Not really sure which hose you're talking about. But thinking further about it, you might be able to get away with using a straight piece of hose, as long as the one that broke doesn't have any sharp bends in it. The only problem would be if the hose kinked. If it didn't, then I guess you should be good to go. Sounds like the guy at pepboys doesn't know what he's talking about.

There are three hoses that conect to the tee.2 go to the upper and the one goes down to the lower where the pcv is.The one that broke was the one with no bends so i got a straight piece at the store. I was just going to get all new hoses and a new tee. The way i have it now is probally no good. Its more of a bandaid for what i did when i broke the other tee. What would you call them, pcv hoses, molded hoses? I did a search to try to find them online and came up with nothing.

They're just vacuum hoses. The PCV hose is the one that goes to the PCV (the grommet coming out of the back of the lower plenum).

you know a easy fix, just get silicone hose, that the same diameter, and it is much easier to snake over without having any kinks. i just did it today in my cobra :)

thanks,if i knew how to change the upper and lower myself i would give it a shot, but i just wanted to buy new ones so when i bring it in they have all the parts so there is no kind of delay. my cobra lower will be here tomorrow and i already have the upper so it should be on by next week.

im sorry, i wasnt counting the smaller vacuum line that also came out of the upper.that would make it 3 coming out but that hose is much smaller.im talking about the one that goes from the pcv to the tee.
